The Optimism Association is not a traditional producing and presenting company but a contemporary approach that can ensure stability and creative vibrancy. It is a not for profit membership based organisation that encourages cross-knowledge pollination between extremely experienced mid-career artists, producers and non-art based specialists for the development and presentation of high quality works.
We both instigate work and to support work made in co-production or collaboration with other entities. A focus on development reflects the company’s philosophy of rigorous creative process as the essential element in creating exceptional work and paramount to the evolution of excellent artistic practice. All members of the Optimism are well established artists and respected nationally and internationally and we value discussion as a tool to evolve ideas and methodologies.
